Full course description
Educators will be equipped with mathematical insights and instructional strategies needed to foster students’ number sense and proportional reasoning. The progression of ideas related to fractions, decimals, percents and ratios will be explored while analyzing grade-level standards. Participants will learn strategies for building conceptual understanding, facilitating mathematical discourse, using models and representations, and supporting diverse learners. Participants will earn 10 recertification points upon completion of the course.
